The foundation is Muscular Therapy – a unique combination of treatment and client self-care education designed to reduce or eliminate chronic muscle tension and promote health. The treatment incorporates a series of specialized massage techniques relating to each muscle group, applied with rhythms, speeds, and pressures. The heart of this program is the development of the therapeutic relationship between the massage therapist and the client. An in-depth study of science supports the entire process. Students also develop the business strategies and communication skills needed to join a growing profession. With 900 hours (51.9 semester credit hours) of training including on-site supervised practice in the Therapy Center, MTI's program allows students to face the future with skill and confidence.
