Fascia is a connective tissue which surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel, and organ of the body, down to the cellular level.

Expanded Information

Myofascial Therapy is a therapeutic modality used for the relief of pain and dysfunction originating in the muscles and connective tissue; "myo" means muscle and "fascial" refers to connective tisssue.

The goal of Myofascial Therapy is recovery from or a significant reduction in pain and postural dysfunction. This is achieved through systematic and comprehensive use of a variety of soft tissue manipulation techniques. Myofascial Therapy draws from the techniques of a variety of health and wellness disciplines.

Most patients see excellent results-- restored mobility, function, and reduced pain. Patients with acute injuries due to accidents, sports or repetitive motion see dramatic results and a quick return to their normal activities. Patients are referred from health care professionals across many disciplines: Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Physiatrists, Orthopedic Surgeons, Psychiatrists, Rheumatologists, and others.
