It is the intent of the Sedona School of Massage to provide a comprehensive education in massage therapy that speaks to the whole person. We view massage as a tremendous vehicle by which one can become more fully embodied, awake and aware. In this full immersion, awareness oriented program, the students have the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become excellent therapists, while becoming more fully present in their own lives.

USA Director: Maria T. Bohle DHM, DCNSedona School of Massage is a full-service Arizona massage school nestled in the beauty of the Sedona, Arizona red rocks. Our 700-hour, five-month certification program satisfies the requirements for Arizona state licensure and prepares students to sit for the National Certification Exam.

At our Arizona Massage School, we offer a fully-comprehensive massage education including instruction in Swedish massage, myofascial techniques, shiatsu, polarity, structural bodywork, cranial sacral therapy, anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, hydrotherapy and ethics and communication. Sedona School of Massage also offers advanced certification programs in structural integration and polarity therapy.

The objectives of the Sedona School of Massage are:

  • to provide an environment that is conducive to learning and personal growth;
  • to provide students with the education and training necessary to become competent, sensitive and ethical massage therapists;
  • to provide students with a thorough, working knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body and the theory, techniques and practice of therapeutic massage modalities;
  • to provide an environment that helps cultivate greater self awareness in students and the skills necessary for working in the therapeutic relationship.

The Sedona School of Massage is Licensed by the Arizona State Board of Private Postsecondary Education. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared and eligible to sit for the National Certification Exam and the MBLEX.


Massage Therapy Certification Program

This five-month, 700 hour program is designed to address all modes of learning...audio, visual and kinesthetic. The class time is scheduled from Monday through Friday, with the morning class in session from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, and Massage and Bodywork in session from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Supervised Clinic practicum will be scheduled for after class Mondays and Wednesdays.
